This quintet is a collaboration led by Marcus Lewis & Nate Nall, along with Eddie Moore, Deandre Manning, and Brandon Draper. These musicians play a variety of genres, including jazz, pop, rock, R&B, funk, gospel, hip-hop, salsa, and more.
Marcus Lewis’s 18-piece big band project, “Brass and Boujee,” debuted on the iTunes Jazz Charts at #2 and the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts at #15. Some notable artists that Marcus has performed and/or recorded with are Aretha Franklin, Prince, Janelle Monáe, Bruno Mars, and Quincy Jones. As a sideman, he has also performed at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, Glastonbury Festival, Nobel Peace Prize Concert, the Sydney Opera House, and for President Barack Obama at the White House, along with television shows including SNL, The Today Show, and American Idol.
Nate Nall has performed across the USA, as well as in parts of Europe and Mexico. He performs a wide variety of musical genres and can be seen in some of the best ensembles in KC, playing small group jazz, big band lead, horn section, musical theater, symphony pops, and church music. Other highlights include performing with The Temptations, Michael Feinstein, Bobby Watson’s 18th and Vine Big Band with Jon Faddis, Kansas City Symphony, Jerry Bergonzi and KU All-Star Big Band, Paducah Symphony Orchestra with trumpeter Allen Vizzutti, and Fountain City Brass Band for US Open Brass Band Championship winning concerts.
